Buffalo Spirit
Scratchboard drawing. I us a small fiberglass brick and sharp metal tipped tool to scratch away the black pigment, exposing the white clapboard beneath. The references for this piece is from a photo I took while traveling across the Midwest. I pulled over when I saw this big bull Buffalo in the snow and admired his spirit and beauty. Prints are available through my website, www.arthawkstudio.com. This original is listed unframed....
”Peregrine Takeoff”
Scratchboard drawing with water-mixable oil paints. The b&w image is of the original before I added layers of color with water-mixable oils. The composition is my own… imagined and designed after spending many hours and years flying peregrine falcons as a falconer. This piece was commissioned so the original is unavailable. You can purchase signed prints through my website! Visit www.arthawkstudio.com...

Shasta used to be very fearful of humans and never trusted anyone. I decided to start sitting with him in 2008 when I fist started to get serious about becoming a falconer as a way to help birds of prey. I continued to sit with him 1-3 hour every single day for 6...
